What We Do
- General Meetings: Every Thursday between 7 and 8, the club puts on a meeting where we talk about updates within the club and engage in either a social or educational activity.
- Socials: Club socials are a great way to allow our members to socialize and help build community both on and off the wall outside our regular scheduled meetings.
- Clinics: Clinics are a great way to help those who are less experienced gain the knowledge and confidence that is needed to fully utilize the club. These events are a good way for our experienced members who are very proficient in the skills to assist the newer climbers. The skills that can be learned in these clinics include top rope, sport, anchors, ice, trad, and many more.
- Academic Break Trips: During our academic breaks, the club tries to put on big week-long trips where we try to prioritize breaking away from local crags. As great as Wisconsin is in terms of climbing, there are so many cool locations within and outside of the United States when it comes to climbing. In the club, we want to provide an easy and stress-free way for you to experience the thrill of climbing at a diverse range of locations.
On most of our trips, the club tries to teach clinics and host socials all around Wisconsin. This includes crags at Devils Lake, Neecedah, Governor Dodge, and Hillbilly Hollow. The club is not restricted to Wisconsin though. Our clubs have taken trips across the country, to places like Red Rocks and Joshua Tree, as well as international trips over academic breaks. Our calendar is a great way to view trips we have put on in the past as well as future trips that you can sign up for now!
